Cheap-Textbooks.com has been helping students find the cheapest sources for textbooks for over 10 years. Started in 1999 with only 6 online book sellers the sites saved students the research time needed to see everyone’s prices and find the best deal. In the last 5 months college students using eReaders has doubled. To support this increased interest in eTextbooks Cheap-Textbooks has released an eTextbooks only price comparison site.
The National Association of College Stores (NACS) has just released the results of a survey it conducted in March. A group of 655 students were asked about their eBook usage as well as their interest in eReaders. Nearly 1 in 5 college students have bought an eBook in the last 3 months. eReader usage showed a significant boost in the last 5 months; 39% of students reported using them, compared to 19% in October.
“I am very excited to support students interest in digital textbooks”; says Bob Jones, founder of Cheap-Textbooks.com. Mr. Jones continued; “Our main site will continue to show the lowest used, rental, new and international prices for textbooks. For students looking exclusively for eTextbooks the new site eliminates sifting through lists of vendors to find just digital media. Just the cheapest eTextbooks are shown at the site.”
Available immediately, eTextbooks-Cheaper.com includes price comparison results of digital textbooks from CourseSmart, offering over 5000 eTextbook titles, Textbooks.com, iBookstore, Barnes and Noble, Amazon and others. Additional eTextbooks and vendors are being added over the next 6 weeks.
